Inverness is now gearing up for Christmas following the switch-on of the city centre Christmas lights.

As the Courier reported over the weekend Miss Scotland and Inverness resident Chelsea Allison had the honour of switching on the Highland Hospice Christmas tree in Falcon Square on Sunday.

It is just one of the decorations adding a festive glow to the city centre as people of all ages turned out to see the lights come on.
