PICTURES: Fox & Friends fun delights families at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness

Family-friendly fun delighted young and old alike when the first in a series of Easter activities got under way at the Eastgate Centre in Inverness yesterday.

The shopping centre’s Nevis Club is hosting four separate free fun days over the course of the two-week Easter school holiday break.

And the first of these took place on Tuesday, with youngsters getting to interact with Fox & Friends during the four-hour event at the mall’s community stage.

The “enchanting interactive story reading session” from Fox & Friends saw the children immerse themselves in a series of captivating tales and engaging characters.

The free events continue today (Wednesday) between 11am to 3pm with the second event - Go Willy Wonka - which will see the team at Fitkidz encouraging children to unleash their inner Willy Wonka for a series of activities and crafts that will see the youngsters create their own golden tickets and glasses. and enjoy an exciting competition.

The activities continue next week when the Scottish Exotic Animal Rescue returns to Eastgate on Tuesday, April 9 with their educational and interactive critter session.

“Get up close and personal with fascinating creatures while learning about wildlife conservation and the importance of biodiversity,” said a spokesperson for the shopping centre.

And on Wednesday, April 10 the last of the four sessions will see budding young gardeners given the chance to embrace their green thumbs with Plant and Grow with Fitkidz.

“Join us for a hands-on gardening experience where children can learn about plants, seeds, and the joys of nurturing their own green space,” added the spokesperson.

All events run between 11am and 3pm on the community stage.
