Family-friendly Easter fun featuring everything from Willy Wonka to exotic wildlife is set to delight visitors to the Eastgate Centre over the school holidays.

On the next two Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the Eastgate’s Nevis Club has announced a “series of exciting and free activities for families to enjoy” at the community stage.

It all begins on April 2 with an “enchanting interactive story reading session with Fox & Friends, where children can immerse themselves in captivating tales and engage with delightful characters”.

This will then be followed on April 3 a “Go Willy Wonka” activity and craft event, where participants will be given the chance to craft their “very own Willy Wonka golden ticket and glasses” while also entering an “adventure to find the golden ticket and participate in an exciting competition”.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there, with the Scottish Exotic Animal Rescue returning to Eastgate on April 9 with their educational and interactive critter session.

“Get up close and personal with fascinating creatures while learning about wildlife conservation and the importance of biodiversity,” said a spokesperson.

And on April 10, budding young gardeners can embrace their green thumbs with Plant and Grow with Fitkidz.

“Join us for a hands-on gardening experience where children can learn about plants, seeds, and the joys of nurturing their own green space,” added the spokesperson.

Each of the four sessions is free and runs from 11am to 3pm.

“Whether you're seeking adventure, creativity, or educational fun, Eastgate has something for everyone this Easter holiday,” continued the spokesperson.
