The organisation behind a “fantastic” exhibition of classic cars in Inverness City Centre has extended its thanks to participants and all who contributed to a “delightful” atmosphere yesterday.

The Inverness Classic Vehicle Show took over the city centre on Saturday from 11am, with a unique collection of classic and vintage vehicles, spanning various eras on display.

A spokesperson for organisers Inverness City Centre BID, said: “A big thank you to everyone who joined us today at the Inverness Classic Vehicle Show.

“We appreciate all the participants who brought their amazing vehicles to showcase to the public.

“It was an absolutely fantastic day with a massive turnout and a delightful atmosphere that filled the city centre.”

The remarkable showcase of over 170 classic cars, bikes, military vehicles, vans, tractors and the iconic MacBrayne's bus extended along Church Street (upper and lower), High Street, Inglis Street, Drummond Street and Falcon Square before a parade of vehicles took place at 3pm, led by City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band.

The Inverness Courier was there to capture several moments on film.
