Temporary closure of Anderson Street in Inverness for railway bridge inspection works delayed by one day

THE temporary closure of a length of a street in Inverness has been delayed by one day, the Highland council have announced.

Works on a part of Anderson Street which require a temporary closure did not proceed as planned, with restriction expected to be in place from tonight at 10pm until 6am tomorrow (April 27).

The closure will be enforced to allow essential railway bridge inspection works to be carried out on behalf of Network Rail.

The affected length is a cul-de-sac and there are no alternatives routes available for vehicular traffic. The interested part of Anderson Street will close at its junction with U3818 Brown Street & extend south to the turning head, for approximately 165m.
