The Sun Dancer in Nairn took home the title of Restaurant of the Year in the region at a prestigious industry award.

Beating competition from Stornoway's Harbour Kitchen and Duisdale House Hotel on Skye, the restaurant has secured the top spot at this year's Highlands and Islands Food & Drinks Awards in Inverness.

This comes after the venue scooped the title of Scottish Restaurant of the Year at the Scottish Restaurant Awards 2023 in July.

On a Facebook post they commented after the win: "We are completely thrilled and honoured to receive this award. We actually can't believe it, a very happy team today.

"Thank you all for supporting us and keeping us going.

"Thank you to the team. It is a special group of people that we get to do life with and they make it great!

"Lee got to share the night with some of the team and of course Marje and Mike who made this possible."
