The North Kessock Rowing club have acquired their first skiff but are struggling for a name for the vessel.

They said on Facebook: “Right folks, we need your thoughts! In order to insure and register our North Kessock club skiff, we need to come up with a name...

“We have a name in mind, but would welcome your input on a name for the boat. By the way, Skiffie McSkiff-Face is not on the table.

The club are taking suggestions from the public on their Facebook post.

Some suggestions thus far have been: Ceasag a Tuath which is Gaelic for North Kessock, The Ord and Kessog which is what the Kessock area is named after.

The deadline for the payment for the skiff is soon and the group are still looking for support for this venture.

“Our deadline for paying for our new skiff (which is looking beautiful!) is fast approaching so if anyone wishes to donate to help us over the line or knows of any local companies looking to support a local venture then all help will be gratefully received at this point.”
