A Mexican takeaway located in a prime spot on the High Street in Inverness is closing down after opening its doors in January this year.

The closure was announced in a note recently displayed in the window of Los Burrito, which served various Mexican dishes such as nachos, burritos and quesadillas.

Los Burrito was the first business opened by owner Paul Douglas, who previously worked in hospitality for more than 20 years.

However a few more eateries are due to open soon in the town centre, among which a new sushi takeaway and an Indian street food restaurant.

The reason behind the closure remains unknown at this stage.

The owner has been contacted for comment.
