The Inverness Cathedral are hosting their annual pet service this weekend, allowing all creatures big and small to be blessed.

This Sunday, October 8, at 4pm, the Inverness Cathedral will bless pets during a one-to-one service for those animal lovers.

Whilst there will be the opportunity for animals to be blessed, the event will also consist of a remembrance service for those who have lost a pet dear to them.

Last year thirty-five dogs, three cats, three ferrets and a bearded dragon lizard received a blessing during the service which celebrated St Francis Day on October 4, and around 60 people attended.
