A Highland-born Hollywood star has voiced her concerns over the lack of alternatives to leather clothing in the fashion industry.

In a recent tweet Inverness' own Karen Gillan said she doesn't want to buy leather items anymore and called for designers to make more alternatives to the material available.

The tweet quickly gathered numerous replies with suggestions of outlets as well as pointing out the damages of "cheap" fake leather.

In 2021, the Guardians of the Galaxy star said she decided to go vegan with her fashion.
