MORE than £5000 has been raised in a crowdfunding campaign in tribute to an Inverness teenager who was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Friday night.

It comes as police confirmed the 16-year-old was Gregor McIntosh.

He was the passenger in a red Vauxhall Corsa which was involved in a crash with a white Nissan Juke and a blue VW Polo on the A9 at the junction of the B9161 to Munlochy at 6.55pm.

Sergeant Angus Murray, of Dingwall Road Policing Unit, said: "Our thoughts remain with Gregor's family and friends at this very sad time.

"Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and we are grateful to the members of the public who have assisted us already.

"I would ask anyone who has information, in particular drivers with dash-cam footage which might help with our investigation to call us.

"Anyone with information should contact road policing in Dingwall on 101, quoting incident 3576 of December 20, 2019."

The crowdfunding web page was set up be Ellie Campbell with a target of generating £500 for Gregor's family. So far 375 people have made donations.
