Highland entrepreneur's UK awards success makes it two years in a row

A successful Highland entrepreneur is celebrating after triumphing in a coveted UK awards for the second year running.
Highland-based IDM Energy founder Iain Macphail won the Start-up Entrepreneur for Scotland and Northern Ireland title at the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards in London for a second year in a row.
He received the trophy ahead of 5000 entries at the awards in Grosvenor House in Park Lane.
Recognised as the UK’s ‘Grammys of Entrepreneurship’ previous winners include the likes of Justin Basini of ClearScore.
Iain Macphail, Founder and Chief Visionary at IDM Energy, said: “It is incredible, absolutely phenomenal. I’m ecstatic to have been recognised for the second year in a row, something no-one is sure has ever been done before. It's a shock but a huge honour to take such a prestigious award home again.
