Some media may focus on doom and gloom but we like to share positive stories about people in our communities.

As Belladrum returned from July 28-31, 25,000 people returned to watch music and enjoy much more on offer.

Hundreds of people enjoyed music, fun, activities and good weather.

Extreme swimmer Piotr Biankowski (47) took 12 hours and 16 minutes to do the 23-mile challenge.

Music was in the air with a number of major gigs across Inverness helping to kick off the summer.

The games hosted a variety of traditional events and some with a more modern twist.

More than 100 people showed up to celebrate grand reopening of Culduthel Woods.
