Charities play a vital role in our communities, often providing the support and help that simply would not exist without them.

Highland Heroes 2023 will be presenting an award to the charitable organisation of the year and we are inviting you to nominate a charity in your community.

NOMINATE at www.hnmedia.co.uk/highlandheroes by midnight, January 6, 2023.

The recipient of the award will be a charity, social enterprise or not-for-profit organisation which delivers outstanding service to support the needs of its users and/or the community.

Sponsoring the award for charitable organisation of the year is Stonehaven civil engineering firm, W M Donald.

Director Elaine Donald said: “Charities are such an important part of every community and make a real difference to the lives of the people they support – many people simply could not manage without them.

“We’re proud to support Highland Heroes and sponsor the charitable organisation of the year award which will, in our small way, say thank you to all the charities that work so tirelessly for their communities.

“We urge everyone to nominate the charities which have made such a difference to the lives of others.”

The 2023 Highland Heroes, sponsored by Inverness Airport, feature 14 categories where you can nominate individuals or groups in your community.

HNM's business reporter, Rachel Smart, has been catching up with our Highland Heroes sponsors. This week meet Raymond Chen from W M Donald.
