Organisers of the The Gathering Festival have said it is still planning for an event in May, but has warned that this may change as the coronavirus situation develops.

The second annual event is planning to host Blazin' Fiddles, Wolfstone and Torridan on May 30 to a crowd of more than 5000 people.

A statement from organisers issued this morning said: "At this moment in time we are continuing with all planning and preparations for the return of The Gathering and the expanded Highland Gathering programme, however this may change as the situation develops.

"The safety of our audience is our number one concern and we will follow all advice from the UK Government regarding mass gatherings in the coming months and will update you as things develop."
