Organisers of the traditional music and Highland food and drink event The Gathering have hailed last Saturday’s festival at the Northern Meeting Park in Inverness as a success.

Some 5000 people went to the event, and although there were a few teething troubles relating to drinks and food, organiser Dougie Brown believes lessons can be learned as they plan to stage it again next year.
