Critical care paramedic and boat team attend 'incident' at Caledonian Canal in Inverness

Ambulances, fire engines and a boat team were dispatched to an 'incident' in the area of the Caledonian Canal in Inverness on Tuesday morning.

The incident, details of which have not yet been released, occurred at around 9.38am.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call today at 9.38am to attend an incident in Inverness. We dispatched two ambulances and a critical care paramedic to the scene.”

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also attended. It said it received a call to the scene at 9.48am, and dispatched two appliances and a boat team.

No further details were provided.

Police have been approached for comment.
