Celebrated violin and piano duo to blend modern and classic sounds in Nairn this week

AN award-winning violin and piano duo play a concert in Nairn this Friday.

Stroud Zhang – Daniel Stroud and Hanzhi Zhang – are winners of The Tunnell Trust Award.

As the latest performers in this year's Music Nairn concert series they will perform a programme including works by MacMillan, Ravel, Mozart, Brahms and Strauss.

Both musicians are in high demand, Daniel having graduated from the Royal Academy of Music where Chinese pianist Hanzhi also studied along with the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.

The concert is at the Nairn Community and Arts Centre at 7.30pm on Friday.

Tickets £18/ £3 (under 25s) are available from the centre.

Music Nairn's 2023/24 concert series includes upcoming showcases featuring the Principal Winds of the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and the Engegård String Quartet.
