Emergency services are dealing with a fire within a camper van on Glenurquhart Road in Inverness.

UPDATE: One person taken to hospital after camper van blaze on A82 in Inverness

Police, firefighters and ambulance crews are in attendance, with the vehicle blocking part of the road.

The incident was reported at 2.51 pm today.

A Scottish Fire Service spokeswoman said: "At 14.51 we were informed of a camper van on fire on the A82 road within Inverness.

"Our crew is currently trying to extinguish the fire, while police divert traffic from the vehicle.

"We understand that an ambulance has also been despatched."

A witness saw two fire units and a fire service car at the scene, as well as a police presence.

Items were being unloaded from the camper van, the witness said.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police are in attendance to assist with traffic management."
