A BBC TV series will be showcasing one of Nairn's most popular farming events in an episode airing on Monday.

In the fifth and final episode of the new TV series Food Fest Scotland, which will be broadcast on BBC One Scotland at 8.30pm on March 6 will see presenters Edith Bowman and Colin Murray attend the Nairn Show as final destination of their culinary tour.

The episode – which is already available on BBC iPlayer – was filmed at last year's show and sees Edith and Colin explore the farming event to find tips and treats among the food stalls, including how to spot the perfect egg and how to choose the juiciest berries.

As well as Edith and Colin’s travels, farmer Jim Smith and chef Julie Lin also celebrate food production around the country in the series. In this episode, Julie is on a mission to discover why Scots like their sausages square, and how to find affordable seafood. And Jim raises a glass to non-alcoholic beer, wine and spirits.

Other episodes see Edith and Colin at the Peebles Show, the Stranraer Oyster Festival, Anstruther and Glasgow.
