THE BEST of Nairnshire produce was on show as a popular farmers event was featured in a BBC One programme earlier this week.

At the centre of episode 5 of BBC One's Food Fest Scotland was the Nairn Show, which saw Edith Bowman and Colin Murray showcasing highlights of the event.

Recorded at the Nairn Show 2022, the episode focuses on different produce and local producers that attended the event.

Nairnshire Farming Society and Nairn Show Secretary Claire Cameron said they are very excited about the episode being broadcast.

She said: "It was amazing to be part of the show. The crew and presenters were really unintrusive and blended in on the day, it was very exciting.

"Watching the episode, it felt incredible to see how many people and stalls were there on the day. It was the first time back after covid for us as well in our new venue so we are delighted to have such a great turnout

"It's a value for the society to behold, to have the best product in Nairnshire. It's lovely that the BBC were able to capture that .

"We really hope this will boost our visitor numbers in the future years. It really showcased what we have got to offer and hopefully this will reach a broader audience!"

The next Nairn Show will be running on July 29, 2023.
