ALMOST 300 Stagecoach bus services have been cancelled in Inverness in the space of just 10 days.

Thirty-six further services were cancelled on Saturday due to ongoing staffing shortages - taking the total since May 18 to 297.

For perspective, the total number of buses scheduled to run in the Inverness city network in a single day is just shy of 400.

The average of 29.7 cancellations per day means that roughly one in every 13-and-a-half scheduled services has not run during that period.

The latest cancellations to Saturday's services mostly affect numbers 2 and 6, which have suffered 20 and 12 cancellations respectively.

There are also three cancellations to service 3 and one to the number 5.
