DOZENS more bus services in Inverness have been cancelled today, Stagecoach Highland has confirmed.

In an update to customers in the early hours of this morning they revealed that 32 planned journeys in the city will not now run in Inverness on Friday.

It takes the total number of cancellations in the city since May 18 to 261 – the equivalent of 29 cancellations per day or roughly seven per cent of all timetabled journeys.

Worst affected on Friday are service number 1, which runs between Balloch and Dalneigh via the city centre, and has had 13 journeys cancelled; and service 3, which covers a route that includes Craig Dunain, the city centre, Oakdene and Balloch, and has had 11 journeys axed.

Six journeys won't operate on service 6, which runs between the city centre and Milton Crescent.

Two journeys on route 2, which covers the city centre and Craig Dunain, are also non-runners.
