TALENTED members of the Lonely Arts Club will be in good company when their work is displayed alongside others at a buzzing creative venue in the Highland capital tomorrow.

The Lonely Arts Club members' exhibition – showing the work of artists dotted around the length and breadth of the Highlands and islands – can be seen in the Gym Hall at WASPS.

The opening night is on Friday, December 1 from 7pm to 10pm.

Group member Andy Dawson said: "Fifteen artists are exhibiting and each artist is showing six pieces, so there will be a lot to see! Art on show ranges from traditional landscape in oil paint through abstract art, experimental photography and AI generated art. This is quite possibly the first time AI generated art has been shown in Scotland. Certainly, the first time in Inverness.

"The Lonely Arts Club has a monthly social meeting and is open to all artists, makers and those interested in art. We talk about what exhibitions are running in the Highlands and Islands and what opportunities there are for artists."

Everyone is welcome to the opening night and drinks and snacks will be available.

The exhibition then runs daily from Saturday, December 2 until Thursday, December 7 and is open from 10am to 3pm, and on Friday, December 8 from 10am to midday.

Entrance is free.

There is a Facebook page and members are free to post their work for others to see. There is also a members' email list, for those not on Facebook.

The club meets in Eden Court on the third Sunday in the month at 2pm.
