The A82 remains closed in both directions between Invergarry and Invermoriston.

A diversion from that section of the Inverness-Fort William-Glasgow route is in place.

This is taking drivers north and south via the A87 and A887.

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said: “The route remains closed this morning between Invermoriston and Invergarry.

“Works will continue to remove the trees at first light. However we believe operatives will be at scene today to assist with directing traffic.

We believe the road operating company are assisting with access to the A87 but have no confirmation of this, therefore to avoid any disruption we would advise travelling via Inverness.”

A BEAR Scotland spokesman said: “To confirm, the A87 is open from Invergarry at the A82 junction and the A887 is open from the A82 Invermoriston Jct.

“The closure is for the A82 from Invergarry to Invermoriston.”
