The A82 between Inverness, Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston is to remain closed until further inspections of the ground are carried out in the area of yesterday's landslips and flooding.
The road has been closed since Monday morning after torrential rain brought flooding to many parts of the Highland transport network – sparking landslides in a number of locations, from Skye to the Great Glen.

A section of the A82 near Abriachan was shut when water. mud and debris washed onto the carriageway from the steep hillside road and surrounding slopes.
The road between Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston has also been affected by mud and landslips.
Engineers have been working to clear the carious debris, but warned in an update on Tuesday morning that the route will remain closed while "further geotechnical inspections" are carried out.
The move comes after another section of the A82 between Invermoriston and Drumnadrochit at Achnahannet suffered a landslip at 9.30pm, barely an hour after an area near Altsigh partially reopened after debris was cleared.
With ground still heavily waterlogged, Bear Scotland is carrying out inspections to assess any further risk of movement on the steep slopes.
Taking to Twitter, and sharing a picture of one of the landslips on the A82, Bear Scotland's NW Trunk Roads team said: "[The] A82 between Inverness, Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston remains closed until further geotechnical inspections are undertaken this morning. Our teams remain on site."
