The A82 at Loch Ness has been closed due to a landslide.

The road is closed in both directions at Abriachan, north of Drumnadrochit.

Police Scotland is asking motorists to avoid the area.

Drivers have also been warned that as the rain continues, driving conditions elsewhere may deteriorate further.

An alert was put out earlier that several roads were impassable due to extensive surface water.

They included the A833 at Belladrum and the A831 at Teanassie.

Teams from Highland Council and Bear Scotland have been attending the scenes.
