£455,000 enhancement for A9 between Tore and Allangrange
Leading road maintenance and management firm BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be carrying out drainage improvement works on the southbound A9 between Tore roundabout and the B9161 Munlochy junction from Tuesday, 12 March.
The works will take place from Tuesday, 12 March, to Friday, 22 March, including Saturday and Sunday.
Maintenance will be taking place from 7pm to 7am and will be completed by the morning of Friday, 22 March, depending on the weather.
Due to the nature of the works and to protect both road workers and motorists, a southbound lane closure will be in place.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West representative said: “This project will improve the functioning of the drainage system between Tore roundabout and the Munlochy Junction, ensuring that it remains in good working order.
"These works and the associated traffic management have been programmed to run concurrently with the ongoing major resurfacing works on the northbound A9 South of Munlochy, to limit disruption to road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.
"We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
