Motorists using one of the main roads into Inverness will face disruption next week when underground utility survey work take place.

Glenurquhart Road on the A82 will be subject to roadwork traffic lights from Monday to Thursday next week between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

The work is being carried out by Bear Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland, and includes survey works to located underground services on that section of the A82.

The survey is needed in order to "inform the design" of active travel improvements that are planned for later this year.

Ian Stewart, Bear Scotland’s north-west representative, said: “These investigation works at A82 Glenurquhart Road will help to record and map underground services. Our teams will use this information in the design of future active travel works as well as to improve site safety for our workforce.

“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works.”
