As Valentines Day is tomorrow (Wednesday, 14 February) our readers have recommended ten places to go for the big day in Inverness.

Whether you are celebrating alone, but wanting to treat yourself, or pulling out all the stops for a loved one, then here are some romantic spots surrounding the city centre for you to try.

1. Revolution Inverness

Revolution has a range of packages available this Valentines Day, from couple packages to great deals on dining.

Packages include; £25.00 for a bottle of prosecco and 10 shots, £42.50 for a 12 beer bucket and 10 shots, £50.00 for a bottle of Veuve and 10 shots, £50.00 for 6 cocktails and 10 shots.

2. Lauders

Lauders is set to host a 'Be My Valentine' party with music from DJ Owen and DJ Bradley starting at 9pm this Wednesday, February 14.

3. The Rose Street Foundry

The Rose Street Foundry are open for bookings this Valentines Day as they are offering a night featuring an acoustic session by Jenna Ross and Martin Bannon, a glass of prosecco on arrival and a three course meal.

Tickets cost £45 per person and are available to pre-book online.

4. Rocpool Reserve Hotel

Located in the heart of Inverness, the Rocpool Reserve Hotel offers a glass of champagne on arrival, afternoon tea, a range of cocktails and tasting spoons.

5. The Cawdor Tavern

This Valentine's Day The Cawdor Tavern are offering a romantic three course meal for two with a welcome strawberry bellini cocktail or prosecco.

The quaint restaurant is situated in the beautiful conservation village of Cawdor, close to the castle made famous by Shakespeare's Macbeth.

6. Little Italy

Little Italy is the only traditional Italian owned restaurant in the city centre and offers a range of delicious traditional food perfect for recreating a lady and the tramp spaghetti moment.

7. The Kitchen

The Kitchen Restaurant is laid out over three floors and housed in a modern, architect designed building located on the banks of the River Ness.

On Valentines Day the restaurant will be open from 5-9pm.

8. The Fluke

The Fluke, along Culcabock Road, are set to host a Valentines disco this Saturday, February 17, where there will be music, food and drinks.

The event starts at 7pm and will continue into the night, finishing at 12am.

9. Drumossie Hotel

This Highland hotel is just ten minutes from the city centre and features a world of rich local heritage to explore at Culloden, Loch Ness and the Cairngorms on its doorstep.

Drumossie Hotel is the ideal destination for Valentines Day as the chef's have tailored a brand new romantic three course meal, ideal for those looking to go fine dining.

10. River House

The River House is situated on the banks of the River Ness, at the foot of the Victorian built Greig Street suspension bridge.

Dine on the finest seafood and shellfish, sourced locally and beyond. From oysters, crab, mussels, langoustine, clams, halibut and bass, this restaurant is perfect for those seafood lovers this Valentines Day.
