Q Is this your first time paying Belladrum, if not when did you play and what stage before?

A This is our third appearance at Belladrum. We played in 2018 after winning a competition. We played again in 2019 and completely packed out the seedlings stage. Then afterwards we were asked to come back and play the main stage! Much obliged.

Q Where are you from and what will your journey to Belladrum be like (ie plane, train, automobile etc)?

A We are all from distant lands. In Aberdeen, Frankie, obviously, lives in the highest room of the tallest tower – beside a cemetery. He’s a builder. To find Jordan you must go through the big black door and up the spindle staircase – knock three times and whatever you do don’t let his neighbour “S Kape” see you. Matthew, also in Aberdeen, stays where all the houses look the same. To find his, follow the sound of the pounding bass drum. As for Lewis, he resides in a small cottage in a coastal village. Usually accompanied by a vicious dog, it’s best not to look for him at all. Our journey to Belladrum will be long and arduous, but for the sake of this band we shall prevail.

Q What is your best general festival memory?

A The Seedlings stage in 2019. About 15 minutes before our set we peeked out from backstage and the tent was as good as empty. At this point we thought we were probably not going to get a good crowd and I remember Frankie just shrugging it off and getting stuck into a warm crate of beer. In 15 minutes the tent filled to bursting. The atmosphere was unbelievably good.

Q Any weird things happened to you at a festival?

A All the time!

Q What/ whose is the best performance you have ever witnessed at a festival? What was so good about it?

A We’re going to have to go with Jimi Hendrix live at Woodstock in ‘69. We weren’t there but we’ve watched it on the YouTube several times. Or Joy Orbison at Riverside festival.

Q What's your most recent release – or do you have one coming up after Belladrum you can recommend people watch out for?

A Last month we released the first single from our long awaited debut album. Talk Is Cheap is available just for you on all major platforms! Please go on iTunes and buy it though. We’re on the bones of our a**es here. It’s 79p. It’s literally cheaper than a pot noodle and our song will leave you far more nourished physically and spiritually.

Q If you have a video to show people, send the link, and introduce it for people?

A Check out our new single!

Q What track is your secret festival weapon (if you want to reveal that!)?

A All Dreams, Big House and Soulless. They’re secret weapons because people don’t know them. They will soon however. Another secret weapon of ours is our sunglasses – UV protection, need I say more?

Q Who are you looking forward to seeing at Belladrum if you will get time to linger?

A Nile Rodgers and Chic. We are massive fans and have seen them a number of times. One of the best live acts. We’ll be lingering about all weekend – come say hello!

Q The theme of Belladrum this year is myths and legends – what mythical creature would you like to meet and who would inspire the best Roov song? Mermaid, unicorn, Nessie, selkie, wolfman, something a bit more Marvel/DC?

A We’d like to meet Jesus. He can turn water into wine! Lewis would be running up to him with a case of Evian!

Q Tell people what stage day and time you are on so they can come along and see you?

A You can witness The Roov on Friday at 12.55 on the main stage. See you there.
