Stand up star of Derry Girls and Father Ted Tommy Tiernan saddles up for new comedy show Paddy Crazy Horse at Ironworks, Inverness

COMEDY veteran Tommy Tiernan is back on the road with a new show – and a date at the Ironworks lined up.

The Irish stand up makes his return to Inverness on Wednesday, October 30 – his first visit to the Highland capital since performing at 2014’s Happyness comedy festival.

And he’ll be bringing his new show Paddy Crazy Horse, mixing a love of comic rebellion and a refusal to be conscripted into a rational view of the world with his love for talking and the poetry of everyday speech.

Using high theatricality and lots of sweary language, the show promises a fast paced and exuberant celebration of everything that’s wild, wrong and wonderful about being alive right here, right now.

Currently known for his turns as one of the stars of Channel 4’s hit show Derry Girls and his appearances on Live at the Apollo, Tommy also writes a weekly newspaper column for the Sunday Independent and hosts his own improvised chat show on Ireland’s RTE 1.

He also famously appeared in the final episode of Father Ted as the suicidally depressed priest Father Kevin.
