Skipinnish have announced they will follow their Bught Park date in Inverness next summer with their first gig at Edinburgh Castle a few days later.

Last month the band confirmed they would be marking their 25th anniversary year with a return to Inverness on July 6 in the Big Top for a “flagship Highland celebration”.

Today they have added Edinburgh Castle on July 12 and what they are calling a career highlight.

And the band’s music has already been there – perhaps a hint last summer that the line-up might be on their way!

Their song Walking On The Waves, was used in 2022 by the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and broadcast to over 100 million people worldwide.

Jason Barrett, chief operating officer of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, said: “At the Tattoo, we’re delighted to present both modern and traditional music, and Skipinnish’s Walking On The Waves made for a perfect finale in our 2022 show, Voices.

“We are proud to carry on our partnership with the band as we welcome them to our arena for the 2024 Castle Concerts series to celebrate their 25 anniversary.”

Tickets for the Bught Park Big Top anniversary appearance by Skipinnish in Inverness on July 6 next year are HERE:

Tickets for the Edinburgh Castle gig go on sale on Friday.
