1 THE creature still lives at Eden Court as Frankenstein continues its run in Inverness this weekend.

The Rona Munro-helmed adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic work of gothic horror – about a scientist, the creation he gives life to, and the consequences that transpire – runs at the city theatre until Saturday night.

2 GLOBETROTTING Elvis impersonator Johnny Lee Memphis has strapped on his blue suede shoes to make his way to Elgin Town Hall this weekend.

The current World Cup and European Elvis Tribute champion brings his stage show representing the famous stages of the King himself to the Moray hall this Friday night.

3 THERE’S a Starman waiting at the Ironworks for all glam lovers this weekend, as the Sensational David Bowie Tribute Band rolls into Inverness.

The UK’s premier tribute to David Bowie – recreating the glamour and passion of the legend’s 1970s heyday – will bring some of his biggest hits to the Ironworks on Saturday night – including tracks from Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs.

4 RED Hot Highland Fling host and Scotland’s favourite cheeky comedian is raising a glass and delivering a hearty “Bottom’s Up!”

Craig Hill is coming to Eden Court, Inverness this Saturday for another laugh riot, squeezing a date in as he works on this summer’s new Fringe show and much more besides.

5 SCRAPPY acoustic DIY ska-punks Boom Boom Racoon are scurrying from one end of the country to the other, as the Bristol band make their Market Bar bow this weekend.

Describing themselves as “80 per cent politics, 30 per cent nonsense” and with songs about everything from biscuit heists to anti-fascism, the band will play the city bar on Saturday night.

6 POP punk/emo rockers In This Life arrive in Inverness on Sunday for a raucous rammy – bringing some of their best pals along for the ride too.

The self-styled “best band to ever come from Buckie” rock up at the Inverness pub on Sunday night, alongside Spoke Too Soon, Forrest Can't Run, Misplaced, and Whatever Weather.

7 TUNNELL Trust Award winners the Radford Kornas Duo are the latest guests of the musicinverness programme at Inverness Town House.

Fearturing talented rising musicians Jonathan Radford and Eleanor Kornas, their programme for musicinverness will feature music by Debussy, Schumann, Bernstein, Yoshimatsu, Piazzolla and Gershwin.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm and tickets will cost £16 (£7.50 concession). Go to www.musicinverness.org
