A FIVE-PIECE band from Dundee, who are being tipped for the top, are set for a mini tour of the Highlands.
For Lost City Soul lead singer and rhythm guitarist Alan Turner it is just a case of “coming home.”
Alan (29) told the Ross-shire Journal, “I try to get home to Invergordon as often as possible, every few months or so. My family and friends are very supportive of the band.”
The band’s debut single Ghost, which was released digitally to Amazon and I-Tunes at the end of August reached number 2 in the Indie charts on its release at the end of August.
Alan added, “We never made an impact in the national charts,” said Alan, “But we are starting to build up a profile nationally. We supported The View at the Ironworks earlier this year and played at King Tut’s in Glasgow in front of over 100 people. Next year we are hoping to be included in some of the festivals like Belladrum and RockNess.”
Lost City Soul, who write their own material, begin the north part of their Scottish tour at the Elgin City Social Club tomorrow (Saturday). They play Hootenanny’s in Inverness the following Friday (September 30) and the Newmarket Bar in Thurso the next night. The band are also set to be interviewed by Marion Scott on Moray Firth Radio on the Sunday.
