STORNOWAY sensations Peat and Diesel have been announced for a Valentine’s Day headline show at the Ironworks – days after selling out Glasgow’s Barrowlands.

The Hebridean rocking three-piece will bring their tunes to the city venue next February 14, giving Highland audiences who saw them at The Gathering a second chance to catch them after they packed out the festival’s second stage.

The announcement comes as the three-piece – Innes G Scott on box, Uilleam “Uilly” Macleod on drums and Calum “Boydie” Macleod on vocals and guitar – continue to enjoy a meteoric rise in popularity across Scotland.

The band’s songs about island life – including the raw, raucous Western Isles – has seen them go from playing intimate shows at the Arch Inn only in April of this year to selling out one of Glasgow’s most famous venues for their show in January 2020.

Tickets cost £15 and go on general sale Friday from 10am. For more info go to www.peatanddiesel.band
