HIGHLAND based promoter Robert Hicks' company Beyond has been shortlisted in the Live Promotion Team of the Year category at the 2011 Music Week awards.
The winners will be announced at The Roundhouse in London on Tuesday 24th May.
Ullapool based Beyond is up against national and international Promoters, AEG Live, Live Nation, SJM Concerts as well as New Vortex Jazz Club.
Over the past 10 years Beyond has built a successful promoting business and helped open up the Highlands to touring acts, among them early appearances from Mumford & Sons, Biffy Clyro, The View and more.
Beyond has also been able to offer something special to visiting acts over the years, promoting shows in unique locations including a boat in the middle of Loch Ness, the 900 year old St Magnus Cathedral in Orkney and the remote island of Taransay.
One of the founding partners of RockNess and creator of the Loopallu Festival, Mr Hicks and Beyond helped develop the Belladrum Festival into a sell out event and is a partner in Inverness's Ironworks venue in Inverness.
