A new name will be appearing from now as Into The Pines debuts, formerly known as Gordon James And The Power.
The band has decided to head into 2023 with this new name, and plans for "exciting new music and live performances".
Fans of bands such as City And Colour, Mumford And Sons and Lord Huran, will enjoy the change of direction Into the Pines have taken with a chage of emphasis to a more country feel.
The first single Gravitate will be released on Friday (November 11), featuring special guest Matt Kelly of City And Colour on steel pedal.
The single has been mixed by "the very talented Justin Hill". The release of Gravitate will be closely followed by a second single which has more of a Scottish feel as well as a couple of special guest performances.
Over the festive period, Into the Pines will continue to work on their self-produced album that’s true to the live sound and are looking forward to sharing more new music in 2023 with lots of festivals and gigs planned, following what has been a challenging two years for many musicians.
The band describe their new style as "Country revival fused with contemporary feel good music".
Into The Pines can't wait to get their new music out there for everyone to enjoy.
