JOOLS Holland will bring his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to Inverness next summer, making his Highlands outdoor debut.
Performing at the Northern Meeting Park, Inverness on Sunday 26th August, Jools Holland and his 20-piece Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, will make the journey north to play to an expected audience of thousands.
The pianist and TV presenter who first shot to fame as a member of Squeeze, aged just 15, will be supported by drumming sensation Gilson Lavis and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall, at the outdoor show organised by award-winning concert and event promoter CK Events.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 9th December priced £36 for the show which will include performances of his classic compositions, interpretations and covers.
Les Kidger, director of CK Events said: "We're delighted to have such a musical genius performing in Inverness as part of our Summer in the City programme in August.
"Jools Holland is renowned for his ability to dazzle audiences with his superb musical creativity and performances. It is certain to be a superb show and we would encourage fans to buy tickets early when they go on sale on Friday 9th December.
"We're hoping to create a picnic in the park style event and would ask fans to come along with their deck-chairs, blankets and picnics and enjoy an evening of great music."
Jools Holland is a legendary musician who with his band regularly plays to audiences in excess of 200,000 each year. As well as formidable live performances, Jools has maintained a prolific recording career including the multimillion selling Jools & Friends series and Later... with Jools Holland.
