Metal Hammer award-winning hard-rockers Airbourne fly over to Inverness from Australia to bring their brand of AC/DC and Thin Lizzy-inspired riffs to the Ironworks, Inverness

HARD-rocking Australians Airbourne are set to land in Inverness this November to bring their raucous noise to the Highlands.

The award-winning band will play the Ironworks on Wednesday, November 20.

A band billing themselves as “the walking, talking, living, breathing, screaming, spitting, fist-pumping embodiment of all that hard rock has encompassed since the movement began”, Airbourne call upon the likes of Thin Lizzy, Motörhead, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and fellow Aussies AC/DC.

The group formed in the band’s hometown of Warrnambool, Victoria, 10-years ago. Their first album Runnin’ Wild was released to critical acclaim, winning the band a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best Debut Album.

The band has since released No Guts. No Glory. Their most recent album, Black Dog Barking, debuted at number 17 on the Australian albums chart. The album has also been extremely successful around the world, charting in the top 30 of many countries, including number 5 in Germany, number 9 in Switzerland and number 11 in Austria.

O2 presale begins Wednesday at 9am, Live Nation and Gigs in Scotland presales beginning on Thursday at 9am, with general on sale beginning at Friday from 9am. Tickets cost £25.
