THREE acts are the first to be announced for the seventh Loopallu festival in Ullapool.

Big on the feelgood factor, headliners The Feeling have a fistful of singalong hits to get the crowd going including Never Be Lonely, Fill My Little World, Sewn and Set My World On Fire.

The band, which played a full-on gig at Inverness Ironworks a few years back, just released their third album Together We Were Made on Monday and played a one-hour special recently for BBC Radio 2 at London’s Mermaid Theatre to mark the occasion.

Loopallu will also see the return of Jon Fratelli – who last played the festival as part of his previous line-up The Codeine Velvet Club fronted by Lou Hickey.

This time Jon continues performing the solo material he unveiled at a series of Highland gigs earlier in the year but with a full band including two drummers.

And as well as songs from his new album, Jon will also fit in some of the classic hits from his first line-up, chart big-hitters The Fratellis.

Jon’s playing with a full band, including two drummers!

And the recently-reformed Scottish veterans The Bluebells will be singing their hits and appealing to the Young At Heart.

Tickets for this year are priced at £60 for weekend tickets and £75 for weekend and camping. Weekend and camping ticket holders wishing to bring campervans and caravans will be charged £25 per vehicle. As, since the beginning, tickets for children 12 & under will be free (though need to be accompanied by an adult)

Tickets, available in person from Northwest Outdoors (Ullapool), Mania and the Ironworks (Inverness).
