Baltimore psych-rock duo Darsombra expand their horizons with debut Inverness gig at The Tooth and Claw

PSYCHEDELIC two-piece Darsombra is set to soar at the Tooth and Claw next week.

The Baltimore band – described by one critic as “trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock” – will fly across the Atlantic for a tripped out evening at the city venue on Monday night.

Darsombra consists of Brian Daniloski on guitar, vocals, and effects pedals; and Ann Everton on synthesizer, vocal, gong, and video.

Experienced live, the duo craft a symbiotic audio-visual show that creates a temporary reality, woven by sight, sound, and movement.

Together, the duo have performed throughout North America, Asia and Europe, playing venues ranging from dive bars and house shows to galleries, festivals, city ruins and storage units.

Following releases on At A Loss, Public Guilt, and Exile on Mainstream, Darsombra most recently worked with Translation Loss and Sonic Meditations for their 2016 release Polyvision.

Support from the gig – being put on by local promoters Skullz Fulla Fuzz – comes from Highland quartet Ramanan Ritual, whose recent victory at the Claw’s Battle of the Bands brought their psychedelic folk-tinged blues to a city-wide audience.
