BLACK Isle movie buffs have a new hub for marvellous movies as the Cromarty Cinema opens.

The community-led movie theatre – a project put together by Cromarty and Resolis Film Society – has been worked on for the past several months.

And this Friday will see the grand opening with a double bill of fantastic films.

The cinema will be screening Armando Ianucci’s Dickens adaptation The Personal History of David Copperfield at 6pm, followed by the multiple-Oscar nominated Little Women at 8.30pm.

Films screening throughout the rest of February also include A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood, Bombshell, Jumanji 2 and The Lighthouse.
