CHATTY Man Alan Carr is set to bring brand new stand-up material to the Highlands later this year as part of a work in progress tour.

The award-winning comedian and TV host behind Chatty Man and The Friday Night Project brings a batch of fresh material to venues across the north in October, with support from Kelly Convey.

As part of the tour across the Highlands and Islands, Alan will be performing shows at the following venues: The Macphail Centre, Ullapool on Wednesday, October 16; the Assembly Rooms, Wick on Friday, October 18; and the Strathpeffer Pavilion on Monday, October 21.

Alan Carr’s unique style of humour and stage presence has made him one of Britain’s most successful comedians.

With 16 series of his Channel 4 show Chatty Man – which ran from 2009 until 2016 – under his belt, he has won a multitude of awards including the publicly-voted NTA and a BAFTA.

He was also recently announced as one of the regular judges for the upcoming UK spin-off of RuPaul's Drag Race, to be screened digitally via BBC Three later this year.

The tour is being put together by Ullapool-based promoters Beyond Highlands, who recently helped to organise a similar work-in-progress tour for Jack Dee.

Tickets go on sale Thursday from 10am – go to www.beyondhighlands.com
