A charity fundraiser is set to raise temperatures at the Mercure Hotel this Friday – thanks to Bump N Grind Cabaret’s first burlesque showcase of 2019.

The Invernessian performance-art troupe bring their Spring Fling evening of dance, cabaret and burlesque to the city hotel on Friday night.

And all money raised on the night will go towards supporting the work done by the Scottish Association of Mental Health – a cause close to the group’s heart, with several of the performers crediting the troupe to helping them overcome their own battles.

The Highlands’ only burlesque and cabaret group, Bump N Grind was formed last year by Caroline Adkins, who noticed a gap in the Inverness cultural scene.

Bump N Grind now boasts five performers. Caroline herself performs as Evelyn Adore, alongside Candy Kitten, Lady Ivy, Miss Rhi von Bee, and Moonstone Cherry.

Their first cabaret night, Things That Go Bump N Grind In The Night, took place in October last year, going on to raise £848 for the Highland Hospice.

Bump N Grind Cabaret’s Spring Fling takes place on Friday night at the Mercure Hotel, Inverness. Doors open at 7.30pm. Entry costs £10 in advance, available from Eventbrite. Alternatively, tickets are £15 on the door. Price includes a complimentary drink on arrival. For more info, go to www.facebook.com/BumpNGr1nd
