Lucid Liars was formed in 2019 by three friends from the north of Scotland. They never keep still, always keep moving and as they reveal below, they're about to release a new album in a few weeks – and have been gigging too, Aviemore and Alness the latest places to hear them ...

Q What has the band been up to so far this year – edited highlights at least for the Bandstock audience coming along next Sunday to the Beaufort Hotel for this new event!?

A We've been doing lots! In between a rigorous gigging schedule, we're also recording new material. We're looking forward to releasing our second album, The Best is Yet To Come, and continuing to take every opportunity that comes our way.

Q What are the biggest challenges for you in music this year so far – has anything made you change or adapt your original plans for what you wanted to achieve?

A The biggest challenge for us has been balancing the difficulties of two less venues in our home town. To adapt to this, we've been exploring opportunities in other towns and trying to broaden our horizons a little bit.

Q Tell us about your music and what keeps it exciting for you and what gets you being creative and pushing yourselves) forward?

A Lucid Liars has always been about expressing ourselves musically and the band has evolved across different genres over the last four years to create something we feel is unique in the Inverness music scene. Our shows can be big and loud, they can be singalong orientated, they can be quiet and intimate...and everything in between. We pride ourselves in expanding outwards from the Highlands and are happy to see our music bought and played across the world in this digital age.
