LUKE Donald, the current world number one, and Lee Westwood, the man he replaced at the top of the official rankings, have both confirmed their attendance at Castle Stuart next month for the Barclays Scottish Open.

The pair announced today (Monday) that they would be joining what is shaping up to be a star-studded field to compete over the links course at the four-day event, which takes place between 7-10th July.

World number six, American Matt Kuchar, is another who will be entering the Scottish Open alongside former European number one Justin Rose.

Among other top players to have already pledged their support to the competition at Castle Stuart includes world number five Phil Mickelson and current US Open champion Graeme McDowell.
