Julie Wilson has had an extraordinary 12 months.

Last weekend she was part of a team that broke the British record for the women’s over-50 4x800m relay – a year after fearing she may never run again.

She suffered an injury while training on April 1 last year, causing extensive damage to her right knee.

So never mind going for records, in her own words she is lucky to be running at all.
