DAVID Carson says Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s undefeated start to the season gives them confidence they can challenge for the Championship title.

Inverness have not lost a match in the 2022/23 campaign so far in any competition.

But they also still have to find their first win of the league season after a 0–0 draw at Arbroath last weekend.

After an excellent start winning their group in the League Cup to make the last 16, Carson says while disappointed with their start to the Championship, says they are taking positives from still being undefeated.

“If you don’t get beat and pick up points in each game, then you know you have a chance,” said Carson.

“Yes we only picked a point against Queen’s Park and we were disappointed with our first half performance with the wind at Arbroath.

“But we are looking for our first three points and that is all we are going to look forward to on Saturday.”
He added: “We take the clean sheet and we are still undefeated.

“We know that we can do better in certain conditions.

“We will now get another week’s training under our belt and will now look forward to Cove Rangers and try to pick up three points on Saturday.”
Carson says the wind at Arbroath made life challenging for any football to be played on the pitch last weekend.

“It is a hard place to come as Arbroath have a good home record and last season we were the only team to come up here and win in the league,” said Carson.

“The two teams defended against the wind, and the wind did affect the attacking players.

“It was a hard one for us where we were playing against the wind and a draw was probably the correct result.”
