Keith Watson insists Ross County will be prepared for anything that comes their way against Hibernian tonight.

The Hibees are fresh off the back of a 6–0 demolition of Aberdeen, and they may well have extra motivation knowing that the last time these two teams met, it was County who came out on top – 2–0 at Easter Road in November.

Watson knows confidence will be high among the Edinburgh side's players, but with home advantage he is confident tthe Staggies are capable of picking up another three points.

“I’m looking forward to it, Hibs are coming off a good win as well and both sides will fancy their chances," he said.

“We’ve already gone down to their ground and won 2–0, so we’re going into it full of confidence.

“When we got our chances that day, we took them, and I thought we dug in as a team, really well.

"They threw a lot at us but we stood up strong and defended our box really well, and to go there and keep a clean sheet is massive.

“They will remember that and they will want to come up to our ground and turn that around, but we’ll be ready for anything they are going to throw at us.

“We’re going into it believing we can win the game.

“We’re really looking forward to it, at our ground, under the lights, and there will be a decent crowd out there.

“We want to go and build a bit of momentum and put pressure on the other teams."

Confidence should be high in Dingwall too after a 3–0 win over Kilmarnock last Saturday.

Using a less-favoured 3–5–2 system seemed to get the best out of County, and Watson feels it is a strong option for them to use going forward.

“We knew how big a game Saturday was and everyone was up for it – to win 3–0 and keep a clean sheet is massive," Watson reasoned.

“Big Jordan (White) and (Eamonn) Brophy linked up really well. Just having a partner there was important for Jordan, with Brophy experienced as well, sniffing about and getting on second balls.

“It worked really well and, at the back, having three there worked really well. We looked solid, with a lot of experience back there.

“Me, Jack Baldwin and Alex Iacovitti are all capable of coming in there to play, we’re all big boys and all vocal, with a lot of experience.

“Having the three of us is a good base going forward. We’ve all had turns with each other in a two and as a three, we know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We just build on that and get stronger and stronger.

“In a three, it is just about communication, the basics and we work off each other well.”
